Student Section

Valentine Dance~ Thanks to all who participated in last week’s valentines dance.  It was a success!

Class of 2012 Kick Back~ Congratulations to all who were able to participate in this past week’s kick back.  If you did not qualify to participate due to grades, remember that there is still time to improve.  Progress reports will be out the first week of March. Ask your teachers for help if you need to, stay after school for tutoring, complete your classwork and homework.  You don’t want to be left out. 

Periodic Assessment:  Congratulations to all of you who improved during these past periodic assessments.  Make sure you have your free dress pass this coming Friday.  Congratulations!  J

Knotts Berry Farm:  8^th graders, Knotts Berry Farm field trip is just around the corner.  Make sure that you are able to participate by meeting all of the graduation requirements.  Don’t be left out! 

Bullying is a crime:  If you are bullied, or see anyone being bullied you must report in to an adult immediately.  Help each other stay safe. 

Be Proud:  Respect and be proud of your school.  Keep it clean, pick up after yourself and remind others to do the same. If you see anyone vandalizing you school tell an adult immediately.

 Northrop Grumman:  Congratulations to all students who are participating in this field trip of a lifetime!    

Teacher section

 Hallway Pass:  There are still students using the hallway pass within the first 15 minutes of class.  Please monitor your hallway pass.  Students must be in their classroom the first 15 minutes of every class period.  Thank you   

Saturday School (postponed):  Saturday School will begin Saturday, March 3, 2012,  and will run for six Saturdays.  If you are interested in teaching, please email me.  The focus will be English and Math and specifics will be forthcoming.   Thank you

5^th grade orientation:  Saturday, February 25, 2012 we will be hosting our 2^nd annual incoming 5^th grade orientation.  Students from our feeder elementary schools have been invited.  You are all welcome to come!

Child Abuse Awareness Training:  The mandatory training will take place today from 2:40pm to 3:40pm in the library.  Please refer to the previous email and/or memo.  Thank you

Hallway supervision:  Thanks to all of you who consistently supervise the hallways during passing periods.   Lets support each other in supervising the hallway and reminding students to be polite, respectful and pick up any trash they drop.  The hallway has been very messy lately.  Lets remind students to help out J
